Introduction to Magazines
A double lesson (I taught it over 2 hours) which introduces the concept of lifestyle magazines and explores the use of media language on two ‘unseen’ magazine covers. This lesson is an introduction to the study of Pride and GQ for Eduqas GCSE media.

Media Regulation - Livingstone and Lunt
A lesson which explores media regulation as a concept and looks at some media products which have been complained about and banned in the UK. The lesson also focuses on Livingstone and Lunt’s theory of regulation, breaks down and evaluates the ideas of the theory. The lesson focuses on the set TV products for Eduqas A level Media Component 2 but can be very easily adapted to focus on any other media products or industries.
Makes use the the Eduqas A Level year 2 text book.
The Sweeney - Contexts - Eduqas GCSE Media
A simple lesson which introduces relevant contexts before watching the first episode. This includes some small tasks and links to YouTube videos. Also makes use of extracts from the Life on Mars DVD.
Relevant to Eduqas GCSE Media Studies Component 2.
Late Night Woman's Hour - Eduqas A Level Media
A full SoW on this set product for Component 1 Section B which explores: context, industry and audience and includes exam style questions throughout the lessons which are NOT SAMS (the SAMS mark scheme can be used as a guide for marking these). Makes use of the Eduqas year 1 and 2 A Level textbooks and includes the full episode of the show!

Two Component 1 mock exam papers for A Level Media (over 2 years). The SAMs mark schemes are adaptable for marking these!
TLC Waterfalls Eduqas GCSE Media Paper 2
Approx. 2/3 lessons covering everything on Waterfalls. This can be done as two revision lessons or elements can be expanded on for more in-depth first time teaching. All aspects of the specification are covered: Media Language, Context, Representations.
Tide Advertising - Context and Audience - Eduqas A Level Media
Between 2-3 detailed lessons based on Eduqas A Level media studies; an introduction to 1950s advertising and marketing and the set product Tide. Lessons include a focus on context and audiences. All relevant areas of the theoretical framework are covered!

A Level Media Language and Analysis Skills
This resource is a four lesson, mini ‘introduction’ to A Level Media Studies introducing the the concept of media language, audience, some of the Eduqas theoretical framework and theories. This also includes a ‘first’ media lesson and aims to develop essay writing skills, unseen analysis skills (the Hidden Figures film poster - but could be any print based product) and exam technique.
Makes use of the Eduqas textbook but can be adapted for any scheme of study!

Pharrell Williams 'Freedom' - Eduqas GCSE Media
A range of lessons for Eduqas GCSE Media Studies on MUSIC VIDEOS for Paper 2 Section B covering Pharrell Williams ‘Freedom’.
Lessons explore: media language, narrative, representations, intertextuality and contexts. Media theory is also explored in some lessons.
Also inluded are opportunities for students to plan and answer exam questions in full.

A full SOW (appox. 7 lessons) covering the basics on this set product which explores all areas of the A Level framework: media language, audience, representations, theory and exam style questions (not SAMS).
Media Theory - Judith Butler
A two hour lesson which introduces and explores Judith Butler’s gender performance theory. This is a set theory for Eduqas A Level media but relevant to all study of media representations. The lessons focuses on The Jinx but these could be replaced with any relevant media product.
